About the Work
My work is shaped by the environments I spend time in, and by observation of landscape, natural form, and light. Rather than following a fixed outcome, each piece develops gradually through an intuitive, responsive process.
The intention is not to direct meaning, but to allow space for personal interpretation. Whether an artwork or photographic image recalls a memory, suggests a place, or simply holds attention, it is created to resonate in ways that are personal to the viewer.
My practice brings together abstract painting and photography as complementary ways of exploring the same visual concerns. Across both mediums, I am drawn to texture, shape, light, and colour — elements that move fluidly between image and surface.
Rather than prioritising a single method, the work evolves through a range of approaches, both in-camera and through post-production, as well as through the use and combination of different art mediums. This allows each piece to develop in the way that feels most appropriate to the image or idea being explored.
